Most frequent questions and answers
Alive & Dead viability testing tells you which pathogens in your sample are actually alive, so you can implement strategies on infective areas not just the remnants. You will target treatments more effectively.
Use the exact same water, substrate, plant-tissue or swab samples you already send for Pathogen ONE—no new collection required.
Contact us or tick the Alive & Dead option on the sample submission form.
Complete the Sample Submission Form online, pack your labeled samples in an insulated box with ice packs, then either:
- Arrange Mon–Wed courier pickup (add tracking to the form)
- Drop off by appointment at our lab (550 Parkside Dr, Unit A9, Waterloo, ON)
Important: We cannot process samples with missing or incorrect shipping information or an incomplete/incorrect submission form. You will be contacted to correct any errors before we proceed.
Your live/dead report is integrated with your Pathogen ONE results and available in the Growers’ Portal within three business days of sample receipt.
Log into the Growers’ Portal to see your results. You can download a PDF or share direct portal access with colleagues.
