    FAQ

    Most frequent questions and answers

It profiles both bacterial and fungal communities in your sample, then ranks the key beneficial microbes driving nutrient cycling, stress resilience, and root health.

Standard tests focus on abiotic factors or pathogens only. Our scan uniquely quantifies beneficial microbes—so you know which organisms to foster, not just what to eliminate.

We are focused exclusively for indoor agriculture, but we are open to talking about outdoor as well!

You can submit substrate (coco, rock-wool, NFT media), root-wash solutions, nutrient reservoir water, or plant tissue (leaf, crown, root).

Depends on what we are looking for.

Plan your sampling with your Healthy Hydroponics or SGS rep first to ensure consistency.

Collect and ship samples on the same day; if you collect early, store refrigerated at 4 °C to preserve microbiome integrity. Use clean gloves and sterile bags or vials, label each with a unique Sample ID (max 30 chars), and complete the Sample Submission Form.

Core Beneficials Scan results arrive in about 14 calendar days, while Priority Scan results are delivered in approximately 7 calendar days.

Note that we will not start the analysis unless the Sample Submission Form is properly submitted. Make sure to have the Courier and Tracking ID/URL to submit the form correctly. Incorrect submission will delay the service.

Quarterly sampling is ideal to track seasonal shifts; monthly sampling is recommended when trialing new inoculants or responding to stress events.
